Maria Marín’s passion and energy are the driving force behind all aspects of her life. Through her books, columns, conferences, television appearances and her own radio show, she has changed the lives of thousands of people around the world. She is an expert on the subjects of “Personal Empowerment” and “The Art of Negotiation”.

Maria Marín, a native of Puerto Rico, is a source of inspiration; her mother died of cancer when she was only 8 years old. Her loneliness drove her to find comfort in food and she struggled with being overweight.  At the age of 15, she found out that a new battle waited her when she became diabetic and discovered that she would have to depend on daily  insulin injections for the rest of her life. “My adversities as a child helped me recognize that no matter what hardships come your way, you can still fulfill your dreams,” states Maria. Today she is the honorary spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.

Maria’s mission today  is to empower others to succeed in business and in life, but most importantly to believe in themselves. She hosts the syndicated national radio show “Tu Vida es My Vida” (Your Life is My Life) on ABC Radio Networks affiliates, where she inspires her listeners to improve themselves and live happier lives. Recently she won the Medallas De Cortez Radio Personality Of  The Year Award 2008.
  
Marín is the author of the bestselling book “Mujer Sin Límite” and the audio-book “Secrets of a Confident Woman”. She is a national newspaper columnist, who writes on personal growth topics for women. Her column “Mujer Sin Límite”  (Women Without Limits) is published weekly in the top markets throughout the U.S. & Puerto Rico. She also writes a monthly column for People en Español. Additionally, Maria is a regular contributor on national television shows such as “Despierta America” and others.

Maria Marín launched her successful career by teaching “The Art of Negotiation” to business executives of Fortune 500 companies around the world, becoming the first Latina expert in negotiation strategies. The years she spent in the corporate world served as the launching pad for her fascinating career in the Personal Transformation field, focusing on women’s success.
